We have to stop designing websites with Firefox?!
I’ve had enough. I’m a Mac Apple dude to the hilt, but we can’t make a living just designing with FF. I have (shamlessly) tried to extend my old-school table designs in order to speed the completion of designs for clients for too long,… so now with the long awaited death DEATH! of ie6 I cannot continue on that path.
Trouble is… ie7 is a trainwreck worthy of its own unbreakable headstone.
Seriously, what are the microsoft programmers thinking? Haven’t they’ve had the official specs for css2 for a while now? Why is a simple list menu such a freaking time sucker in this era to get right in ie7?
Don’t get me wrong, I think I will be the first person on the face of the earth to (damn I’m gonna regret this one) admit to the free world that I really really like windows vista.
OK let it fly.
The reason I say that is it is true, and I’m not rattled. JUST TRY IT FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!
I worked as a mac consultant for a good while and I love them yes, but it is just a machine. Macs are just as vulnerable to failure and destructive behavior as any machine. Working as a mac repairman taught me that!
My beef in this post is all about ie7. I’ll love vista as long as it works for me on my little $423.00 laptop, but untill ie7, or ie8 9 or 10 actually includes the long published css2 or css1 specs in their code, I have a serious problem with MS and their approach to programming for the web. Get it together already!
